Susan began working in the area of brain injury many years ago in Toronto. She joined Hamilton Health Sciences in 1999, and has practised in acute care as the Social Worker in the Clinical Neurosciences (Neurosurgery) Programme since 2001.
Susan also has the privilege of working with the Acquired Brain Injury Rehabilitation team in Hamilton Health Sciences Regional Rehabilitation Centre, assisting with the transition of patients and families from acute care to in-patient rehabilitation.
As a member of the Family Resource Committee of the Hamilton Brain Injury Association, Susan is currently helping with a publication for patients with acquired brain injuries, and their families.
A graduate of McMaster University, she enjoys serving as a Field Instructor for Social Work students.
For Susan, it is a privilege to work as a member of an exceptional interdisciplinary team in an organization that has a long, distinguished history of service to patients who have sustained a brain injury, and their families.
