Nominated for:
Established in 2011, Mariani and Associates is a clinic based in Sudbury, Ontario specializing in the provision of psychological services for individuals and their families. Our services include comprehensive neuropsychological, psychological, developmental, and psychoeducational assessments, consultations, and psychotherapy and cognitive rehabilitation. We provide services for infants, children, adolescents, adults, and older individuals with known or suspected neurological, emotional, behavioural, developmental, academic, and/or cognitive dysfunction. Whereas the clinic offers a broad range of services, we specialize in post-motor vehicle accident assessments (e.g., accident-benefits, catastrophic determination) and treatment.
At our clinic, we are committed to excellence in the provision of evidence-based interventions, tailored to meet the specific needs of each individual, including cognitive behavioural therapy, prolonged exposure therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, behaviour therapy and interventions, and cognitive compensatory skills training. We also offer group therapy opportunities to support a variety of presenting problems (e.g., understanding trauma, emotional regulation, mindfulness, coping with anxiety). Our services have helped many clients with diverse backgrounds including, but not limited to, individuals with physical and/or intellectual disabilities, military veterans, First Nations, Metis, and Inuit peoples, and clients who identify as LGBTQ2+.
At Mariani and Associates, we consult and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and agencies, including physicians, allied health professionals, rehabilitation companies, law firms, schools, and others to identify the sources of difficulties and to develop, coordinate, and implement personalized treatment plans to support the individual and their family to foster growth and adaptation and to return to optimal well-being.
Mariani and Associates is comprised of highly qualified and skilled individuals who share the common goal of supporting those in need. Our team consists of doctoral-level psychologists, Master’s level clinicians, and administrative staff. We also take pride in identifying our clinic as a training facility and welcome many graduate-level psychology students and medical students to learn valuable clinical skills and/or research experience. Our catchment area ranges from Parry Sound to Timmins, and from Sault Ste. Marie to North Bay. We have videoconferencing and telepsychology options available to support clients who live in more rural communities in Northern Ontario.
