Ellie Lapowich, BA, RSSW, RRP, CCRC, CVP

Ellie Lapowich is the owner and director of Innovative Case Management Inc. (ICM) since 2004.  In this capacity, she oversees the provision of all case management services and functions in the role of clinical director, closely supervising the work of ICM’s Rehabilitation Consultants.  Furthermore, Ellie is responsible for setting policies and standards for the delivery of these services.

In addition to supervising ICM’s consultants, Ellie herself provides case management services directly to clients. Prior to founding ICM, she worked as a case manager, vocational counselor and cognitive therapist in the private sector for five years.

Ellie obtained an Honours Degree in Psychology from York University in 1997. In 1999, she completed her certification in Rehabilitation Counseling through the York/Seneca Rehabilitation Program. Since that time, Ellie has obtained the following certifications: Certified Vocational Professional (CVP); Canadian Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CCRC); and Registered Rehabilitation Professional (RRP). She is also a Registered Social Service Worker (RSSW) and is a member in good standing with the College.  Ellie continues to attend various educational conferences and seminars and has published research papers in the areas of attention and memory in traumatic brain injury and aging and prospective memory.

Ellie is actively involved with and supports various groups and associations specializing in promoting education and awareness regarding brain injury. She is a member of the following organizations: International Brain Injury Association (IBIA); Canadian Rehabilitation Association (CRA); Ontario Brain Injury Association (OBIA); and the College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. Ellie also volunteers her time to raise funds for the various programs offered by OBIA and the Brain Injury Society of Toronto (BIST).
