Shannon Orr

Shannon is a qualified Occupational Therapist licensed to practice in Ontario and is registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO). She graduated from University of Toronto with a Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy. In addition, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Therapeutic Recreation from Dalhousie University. She is a member of the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists. Shannon has over ten years’ experience working as an Occupational Therapist. She practices in Barrie and surrounding areas.

Shannon is experienced in comprehensive functional evaluations of individuals who are experiencing difficulties performing their essential tasks of daily living due to illness and/or injury.

Her current practice includes occupational therapy in home assessment (including assessment of attendant care needs, home safety assessments, and comprehensive physical, cognitive and psychosocial assessments), discharge planning, and occupational therapy treatment for client with brain injury, spinal cord injury, chronic pain, orthopaedic injuries and various psychological diagnoses. Shannon also has additional training in brain injury, hand therapy, microcurrent point stimulation, comprehensive functional cognitive assessment, and functional capacity evaluations. She is an ADP Authorizer for Seating and Mobility.
