Nominated For: HOSPITAL SOCIAL WORKER OF THE YEAR

Nadia is a Social Worker at Toronto Rehab in the inpatient ABI program. Nadia has many years of experience working with ABI clients both in the community and in a hospital setting.  Her professional interests include Patient and Family Education on various topics, such as how to support caregivers, children’s grief, and community resources. Nadia is a strong advocate for ABI patients, and recognizes the importance communication and collaboration with patients, caregivers, and colleagues throughout the rehab journey. Working with an interprofessional team at Toronto Rehab + attention to detail helps Nadia to provide the best possible care to her patients.

Outside of work Nadia enjoys going on road trips and spending time with family.

    Nadia is stellar! She is incredibly valued for her patient care. Nadia is a strong, stoic, kind social worker who is looked to for her experience and exemplary communication and planning skills. Nadia can have the patient advocacy conversations that some are too shy to have. I’m so glad to work with her. Hooray, Nadia!

    While we haven’t had the chance to work together directly, our team has had the privilege of supporting clients as they transition back into the community after their time at TRI.
