Jennifer Squibb has been a Social Worker in Toronto Rehab’s Brain Program since 2018. In her role, she supports individuals and their loved ones as they navigate the often life-altering experience of brain injury, helping them to adjust and move forward. Jennifer strives to build caring relationships with patients and their loved ones, and considers it a privilege to listen to their stories and to accompany them through the rehab process.

Jennifer is committed to addressing the social determinants of health and believes strongly in the power of community connection. She works to ensure patients are linked with meaningful and positive community resources that can support their recovery and long-term well-being after their hospital stay. Guided by principles of social justice, she advocates for equitable care and systemic change both within the hospital setting and beyond.

In addition to her clinical work, Jennifer values her role as a Field Instructor for Master of Social Work students, providing guidance to help them grow into competent and compassionate Social Workers. She is passionate about continuing education and regularly challenges herself to deepen her knowledge on topics relevant to her patients’ well-being. Jennifer also helps facilitate regular dog therapy visits at Toronto Rehab by partnering with a human and canine volunteer team from St John’s Ambulance.

Jennifer feels so fortunate to work alongside a wonderful team of skilled and compassionate colleagues and is honoured to contribute to the field of brain injury rehabilitation.
