On behalf of ourselves and our amazing team at ABION Inc. we would like to say how grateful and honoured we are to have been nominated for Rehabilitation Company of the Year. This past year has further highlighted the resilience of those in our community and we applaud all the nominees that continued to provide extraordinary service during these extraordinary times.

As an agency in the Niagara Region, we pride ourselves on having provided truly client centred support for individuals and their families living with the effects of ABI for over 21 years! Our small but mighty team has contained many amazing rehabilitation therapists with diverse backgrounds and have helped hundreds of individuals as young as 6 to as old as 96. We have been fortunate to have a very experienced team that can manage even the most complex situations, with our core team having spent several decades working in the field providing superior support both in the home and community.

We have also been privileged to have had OBIA and Brock University in our backyard, and over the years have been able to attend various conferences and courses that have only enhanced our team skillset, and in turn, outstanding outcomes for our clients. We specialize in implementing very individualized support and pride ourselves on being great collaborators with our various community professionals who have supported our company throughout these past 21 years. Although there are so many who deserve our thanks, we would like to acknowledge Dr. Dawn Good and Dr. Sherrie Bieman-Copland for their encouragement at the onset of our agency, and our community partners both BIAN and BIAFE. Having served on the board of directors of these agencies and having provided support to BIAN’s OASIS Clubhouse, we know the amazing work these agencies do, and we are proud of our connections to them.

Though 21 years has passed in a blink of an eye, we are still as dedicated and passionate as ever about supporting persons with ABI and look forward to maintaining that level of enthusiasm for years to come. Again, thank you to OBIA and PIA Law for the great honour of this nomination.
