Receiving a nomination as Ontario Brain Injury Association’s Rehabilitation Company of the Year for 2022 is a tremendous honour. We thank our valued colleagues and clients for this recognition.

In 2015, Innovative Occupational Therapy Services (IOTS) was founded by Sheila Don after realizing a gap in care for clients with serious injuries, especially traumatic brain injuries. Through creative, ‘outside the box’ thinking, IOTS has emerged as a gamechanger in traumatic brain injury rehabilitation through the development of evidence-based assessment tools and meaningful, client-centred treatment. Not only does our team of skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapists support individuals with acquired brain injuries and their families in their rehabilitative journey, we also strive to restore quality of life. Through the years, our team has changed the lives of many individuals who have gone on to live fulfilled lives through the strategies and modified interventions we have delivered.

Innovative Occupational Therapy Services represents one of the largest Occupational Therapy only firms in the province with over 50 therapists. We’ve developed a successful protocol for delivering timely and cost-effective services with outcomes in the areas of maintaining or improving health, promoting independence, and reducing the risk of health deterioration.

We understand the importance of the role of the occupational therapist in assisting, maintaining, restoring and optimizing functional independence through client collaboration. As a team, we are proactive, client-centred, creative and take great pride in the services we provide.
