Gail Clement

Nominated For: HOSPITAL SOCIAL WORKER OF THE YEAR

Gail Clement works on the ABI inpatient unit at Toronto Rehabilitation Institute. Gail graduated with her MSW from the University of Toronto in 2002 and has been working in the ABI field for most of her social work career. Gail works with patients and their families by providing emotional support and counselling, assisting them in navigating the health care system and working to ensure a safe transition home and to the community.

Gail is actively involved in the ABI program, participating in a variety of safety and quality initiatives and thoroughly enjoys working with an exceptional interdisciplinary team. Gail finds working in the ABI field extremely rewarding and feels privileged to work with patients and families during the inpatient phase of their recovery process.

In her free time, Gail enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing board games, being a soccer mom and camping/outdoor activities with her husband, 3 kids and new puppy.
